How to Use the Arquella Nurse Call System Effectively
The Arquella Nurse Call System helps care home staff efficiently manage nurse calls, document interactions, and maintain accurate records using NFC and the integrated CareClicks feature. By using the system effectively, care teams can improve patient care and minimise redundant documentation.
Below is a step-by-step video guide to help you navigate the Arquella Nurse Call System.
Orange Button: Press the orange button to raise a nurse call.
Green Button: Press the green button to confirm attendance—either reactively in response to a nurse call or proactively when entering a room without a nurse call.
Yellow Button: Use the yellow button to call for assistance.
Red Button: Press the red button during an emergency situation.
Grey Button: Press the grey button to reset the nurse call point. This should be done only when leaving the room. To stop the call bell, either hover your handset over the NFC sticker or press the green button.
To attend or reset the call panel using NFC, hover your handset, with the Arquella Care application active, over the NFC sticker located on the nurse call point. This action notes that you have attended the room or responded to a call.
When attending a nurse call using NFC, CareClicks will open automatically. Use this interface to document any relevant details by clicking the appropriate icons and adding comments.
Enter your observations or actions in the comments section of CareClicks. These notes will also be accessible within Reports, ensuring all documentation is centralised.
If your care home has digital care record integration, the notes entered in CareClicks will automatically populate in the relevant care plans, reducing duplication of work and providing a convenient reference for future entries.
Once you have added your notes, click Submit. Be sure to hover your handset over the NFC sticker when leaving the room to end the call journey, which provides accurate reporting for each event.
Using the Arquella Nurse Call System properly ensures that care staff can efficiently manage their time, accurately document interactions, and enhance patient care quality. By leveraging features like NFC and CareClicks, your team can reduce administrative tasks and spend more time focusing on resident well-being.
